The dollar 72.33 cents U.S. Gas a buck 29. I'm Stacey Englehart. Well, your holiday travel plans could be disrupted. A new labor showdown threatening to ground thousands of air travelers this week. Air transit pilots voted 99% in favor of a strike. They could walk off the job Wednesday. Union said contract talks have stalled over pay and working conditions. They're expected to start canceling flights today. Ontario's big city mayors calling on the province to declare a state of emergency as municipalities deal with what they call a community and safety humanitarian crisis created by homelessness, mental health, and addiction. The mayors of Ontario's 29 largest cities, including Brantford, Hamilton, and Waterloo region, urge the province for more funding. According to reports, they need to invest $11 billion to end homelessness over the next 10 years. And the long-awaited Finch West LRT line open for service this weekend with free fares. The route, which is about 10 kilometers, is the first to be added to the GTA's transit network since 2002. It connects 18 stations and 30 bus routes, including GO Transit, Mississauga, Brampton, and York Region Transit. Light 92 Sports NBA last night. The Raptors lost to Boston 122-113. Elsewhere, winners included Jacksonville, Miami, New Orleans, Pittsburgh, Seattle, Tennessee, Minnesota, Green Bay, the LA Rams, Houston. Tonight, the Chargers host Philly 815.
