While gas prices are down 6 cents to $1.51, they're expected to go up another 5 cents tomorrow. I'm Stacey Engelhart. Well, we've enjoyed some spring-like temperatures. Winter weather is back with a vengeance. It's going to get cold, and we're also expecting a bit of snow starting tomorrow. We'll have details in the forecast. As the war intensifies, causing oil prices to flip-flop, Canada said it will do its part to lower the cost of oil globally. An announcement yesterday from an intergovernmental organization representing dozens of countries said it will release 400 million barrels of oil from member nations' stockpiles, although Canada does not have a strategic oil reserve. A ship carrying food for a GTA food bank was apparently hit in the ongoing war. The CEO of the Daily Bread Food Bank suggested products were destined for the Toronto organization worth about $90,000 when they were in a cargo ship attack near Iran. While the U.S. has some explaining to do, the country is accused of killing 165 people when they struck an elementary school in Iran on the first day of the war. A U.S. official blames, quote, outdated intelligence. And new rules kick in today, capping NSF fees at $10 for personal deposit accounts. The new cap limits fees banks can charge customers who don't have enough money in their account to cover a check. It also prohibits banks from charging more than one NSF fee and two business days for the same account. And if there's a shortfall of under $10, they are not allowed to charge the fee. The new cap is expected to save Canadians more than $600 million a year. Sports, World Baseball Classic, Canada Advanced of the playoff round for the first time in the tournament's 20-year history after beating Cuba 7-2. Canada plays the U.S. in the quarterfinals tomorrow after Italy beat Mexico. In the NHL, Montreal beat Ottawa 3-2. The only other game, Philly beat Washington, leaps back at it tonight. They host Anaheim at 7. The Raptors lost to New Orleans last night, 122-111. They host Phoenix tomorrow, 7.30. Baseball spring training, Blue Jays beaten up by the Yankees 8-1. They play Philly this afternoon at 1. And in the OHL tonight among the games, Brantford is in North Bay at 7. Weather. Today a few flurries, windy, 2 degrees. Tonight clear, windy and colder, minus 6, feeling minus 10. Now tomorrow snow mixed with rain, we could get about 5 centimeters depending on where you are. Areas close to Waterloo region could get hit with up to 20 by Saturday. It's also going to be windy tomorrow and a high hovering about 4 degrees.
