An OPP officer has died after a collision on the 401 yesterday. According to reports, Sergeant Brandon Malcolm died in a single vehicle collision on the 401 while riding a police motorcycle. Investigators looking into the circumstances, OPP's Commissioner Thomas Karik said there's no evidence to suggest another vehicle was involved. A workplace tragedy in Hamilton has claimed the life of a 48-year-old. Police said the victim was struck by heavy equipment at a waste transfer station just after four yesterday.
