Education Minister Paul Calandra has tabled a bill with the sole purpose of firing one school board trustee.
It is related to a pricey trip to Italy that four trustees from the Brant Haldimand Norfolk Catholic District School Board took last year, where they bought 100-thousand dollars' worth of statues.
Calandra has said for months that three of the four trustees paid back their expenses, but the 4th was refusing and would be fired.
The bill would remove Mark Watson from office and bar him from running until 2030.
Labour Minister David Piccini came under fire at Queen's Park yesterday over findings from a recent auditor general report on the Skills Development Fund.
The auditor found his office was heavily involved in choosing projects to be funded under the 2.5-billion-dollar skills training program, doling out money to applicants that were ranked low by bureaucrats without documenting why.

Statistics Canada is set to publish inflation figures for September this morning.
A Reuters poll of economists expects the annual rate of inflation will accelerate to 2.3 per cent for September, up from 1.9 per cent in August.
The September inflation report will be the Bank of Canada's last look at price data before the central bank's next interest rate decision on Oct. 29.
